Joe Patterson, Principal
In 2008, Mr. Patterson began a career as a Police Officer for the St. Louis County Police Department where he served in several positions including Patrol Officer, Community Policing Officer and Intelligence Officer before becoming a Narcotics Detective in 2010.
Upon appointment to Detective, Mr. Patterson was assigned to the St. Louis County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force and later to the St. Louis Area FBI/DEA Violent Crime Task Force as a Special Federal Officer, Task Force Officer, and Special Deputy U.S. Marshal. Additionally, Mr. Patterson was the founding President of the St. Louis County Police Association-Missouri Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #111.
In 2018, Mr. Patterson served as the Law Enforcement Advisor for Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s transition team upon his appointment by Governor Mike Parson.
In 2019, Mr. Patterson retired early from the St. Louis County Police Department to become Co-Founder and CEO of Ceres Management Group LLC., a Missouri based consultancy and management firm that served the Missouri Medical Marijuana Industry. In that capacity, Mr. Patterson led a team of professionals that performed competitive application writing, security program development, and compliance management for the Missouri Medical Marijuana industry.
In 2020, Mr. Patterson launched Patterson and Associates LLC., a full service Cannabis security management and application writing firm that has already served over a dozen operators all over the state of Missouri. Patterson and Associates manages all Cannabis facility types across Missouri and has completed more successful commencement inspections than any other security firm in the state.
Mr. Patterson serves as Executive Director of the St. Louis County Police Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors for “Need of Aid,” a charity that assists employees and family members of the St. Louis County Police Department in times of crisis.
Mr. Patterson also serves as an advisory board member for the Missouri Cannabis Trade Association's Transportation, Security, and Technology Committee.
Mr. Patterson is a current and former member of several professional and civic organizations including the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police, Midwest Gang Investigator’s Association, International Association of Undercover Officers, The Emerald Society of Missouri, and The BackStoppers.
